I am currently a junior at UC Berkeley studying Molecular and Cell Biology and Public Health. Living with Type 1 diabetes has inspired me to pursue a career as a physician-scientist, where I can both care for patients and advance research to improve treatments for chronic diseases. I am especially passionate about making healthcare and health education more accessible, especially for underserved communities. I have created science outreach programs for students from under-resourced backgrounds to diversify the future of healthcare and medicine. Pursuing my passion of becoming a pediatric endocrinologist, I volunteer in endocrinology clinics and conduct research in diabetes biology. Outside of academics, I enjoy playing piano, surfing, and hiking. I love finding ways to balance my passion for science with time spent outdoors and creative pursuits.
