Eemaan Wahidullah

Program Intern (2026)

I am a rising junior at the University of California, Santa Barbara, studying Biology and Political Science with a strong interest in medicine, public health, and chronic disease. Growing up in a family affected by Type 2 diabetes has made diabetes care especially meaningful to me and has inspired my interest in understanding how medicine, education, and prevention can improve the lives of patients and their families.

At UCSB, I have been involved in research, healthcare, community service, and campus leadership, experiences that have strengthened my goal of pursuing a future career as a physician. I am particularly passionate about health equity and improving access to healthcare and health education for underserved communities.

Outside of academics, I enjoy volunteering in my community, participating in campus organizations and clubs, traveling with my family, and finding new ways to combine my interests in healthcare, service, and leadership. I am excited to be part of Diabetes Virtual Camp and to contribute to a program that connects so closely with my personal and professional interests.
