I am a rising junior at the University of Wisconsin - Madison studying Biomedical Engineering with a certificate in Biology and a main focus in Tissue Engineering. As someone living with Type 1 Diabetes, my personal experience with the disease has inspired my passion for improving medical technologies for others like me. I enjoy combining biology with engineering to address complex medical challenges. I realized I was most interested in designing solutions that directly improve patients' lives, and because diabetes has affected my own life for so long, it naturally became one of the areas I'm most passionate about. Outside of academics, I enjoy traveling with my family, playing basketball, serving on my sorority's executive board, and fundraising for Breakthrough T1D.
